How Twist Talent (Private) Limited collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website or contact us about hiring engineers.

1.Who we are

TwistTalent is operated by Twist Talent (Private) Limited ("TwistTalent", "we", "us"). We help companies find, hire and keep remote engineers, either on demand or as dedicated team members we employ on their behalf.

We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. If you are an engineer we have contacted or who has applied for a role through us, our Candidate Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data in more detail.

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@twisttalent.net.

2.The data we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our service:

  • Enquiry details you give us: your name, work email, company, the roles you are hiring for, how you would like to work with us, team size, timing, and any notes.
  • Communication records: emails, call notes and meeting notes when we discuss your hiring needs.
  • Campaign information: the advert or link that brought you to our site (for example UTM parameters such as source, medium and campaign, and advertising click identifiers), the page you first landed on and the referring website.
  • Technical data: IP address, approximate country (used to show the site in your language), browser and device type, and pages viewed, collected through server logs and, only if you accept cookies, through analytics and advertising tools.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data through this website, and we ask you not to send it to us.

3.How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss whether we can help with your hiring.
  • To provide our services if you become a client, including sharing candidate shortlists, coordinating interviews, and administering engagements.
  • To show the website in your language.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns are useful, so we can improve the website and our advertising.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam or misuse.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4.Our legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract; our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business, which we balance against your rights; your consent, for analytics and advertising cookies; and compliance with legal obligations.

5.Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses a small amount of browser storage that is necessary for it to work, such as remembering your language, your cookie choice and the campaign that referred you, so we can attribute your enquiry correctly.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) are only set if you click “Accept cookies”. If you decline, these tools are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer.

If you accept advertising cookies and then send us an enquiry, we may also send a conversion event to Meta from our server containing hashed (scrambled) contact details, so Meta can measure our campaigns. Meta does not receive the content of your enquiry.

6.Who we share data with

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as website hosting, email, spreadsheet and productivity tools (where enquiries are recorded), scheduling and analytics providers. They act on our instructions and must protect your data.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms (Meta and Google), only where you have accepted the relevant cookies.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

If you are a client, candidate information we share with you is covered by our client agreement and our Candidate Privacy Policy.

7.International transfers

We work with clients and engineers in several countries, and some of our service providers process data in other countries too. Where data moves across borders, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections required by applicable law.

8.How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months from our last contact, then deleted or anonymised. Client records are kept for the duration of our relationship and for as long afterwards as tax, accounting and legal obligations require. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics tool, which we keep to the shortest practical period.

9.Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR, Israel's Privacy Protection Law and other applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to delete your data, or restrict how we use it;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
  • receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.

To exercise a right, email support@twisttalent.net. We will respond within the time limit set by the applicable law. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10.Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11.Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
